Camelidynamics Handler Seal
Early in our alpaca adventure we began hearing the name, Marty McGee Bennett. Her kind, respectful, and gentle way of working with camelids was just what we were looking for! We purchased her book, The Camelid Companion, and it never made it to our bookshelf, as we read and re-read its insightful content.
Kristie attended a couple hours of Camelidynamics training at various shows, then a 2-Day Basics course, and finally the Advanced 4-Day Training in beautiful Central Oregon in July 2007. What a wonderful and challenging experience.
Through the intensive hands-on training at the Advanced class, we gained a self-confidence and a desire to continue finetuning skills upon returning to Sweet Valley Suris. Following the Advanced Class and completing the application, our farm now proudly displays the Camelidynamics Handler Seal. This Handler designation assures potential buyers that our alpacas are handled in a respectful and safe way.
We also held a 1-Day abbreviated “Husbands Only” Camelidynamics class here at Sweet Valley Suris, with Dorthy Hunt, Practitioner 2, as the instructor. What fun!
